MICAH works with congregations, faith leaders, and community partners to increase awareness and understanding the need for affordable housing. This creates advocates who fight for changes in public policies to encourage all communities to preserve and build affordable housing.
Freedom From the Streets (FFS) celebrated its first birthday last weekend at our St Paul meeting, Elim/Strong Tower Shelter dinner (where FFS members have cooked and served an evening meal for 4 months, and cleaned up after) and on Monday at the Minneapolis meeting.

God kept calling us back to Elim, where we were providing cold weather shelter and would we do more. Strong Tower Church, next door, joined us in saying Yes we are open to our space being a shelter- 12 weeks ago.
