About Us
MICAH Anoka County chapter began forming in September, 2020. We are reaching out to local congregations, officials, and organizations that work with people experiencing homelessness.
As we continue to grow, we will study housing patterns and affordable housing challenges in the county. Please contact us if you are interested in joining or just to see what we are all about.
Anoka County assistance information can be found on our resources page and on this: Who To Call Help Sheet (pdf).

Anoka Chapter District:
Community Interest
“Park Plaza opened in the early 1960s and has grown over the years into a 90-site, resident-owned manufactured home community.
But that transition didn't happen overnight. We began the move toward controlling our own destiny in 2010. That's when, with the help of Northcountry Cooperative Foundation and ROC USA®, we formed the Park Plaza Cooperative that would, on Feb. 15, 2011, purchase and take control of our community.”
Anoka-Hennepin’s Secondary Technical Education Program (STEP)
For several years, every year, Anoka Hennepin students have built a three bedroom home from the ground up. After the home is built, it is moved to the buyers lot. The cost of the home is only the cost of the materials. The program has been suspended due to COVID restrictions but you can read more about it here.
