Anoka County Chapter - April Report

The MICAH Anoka Chapter held its Annual Policy Breakfast on Friday, March 3. The event was well attended by local nonprofits, community leaders, and elected officials on the state, county, and city level.
Representative Matt Norris spoke about the bills he is presenting this year, including one he is promoting to support students who are interested in working in the trades. Jessica Lipa from the Anoka Hennepin School District spoke about the district program.
Representatives from Family Promise in Anoka County and HOPE 4 Youth spoke about plans for the future and current needs for their programs.
Jennifer Crotteau, a program specialist from Anoka County, spoke about current needs and funding plans for persons experiencing housing insecurity.

Dave Anderson, All Parks Alliance, and Natividad Seefeld, Park Plaza Cooperative, spoke about currently pending legislation that involves the manufactured home community.
