MICAH works with congregations, faith leaders, and community partners to increase awareness and understanding the need for affordable housing. This creates advocates who fight for changes in public policies to encourage all communities to preserve and build affordable housing.
One late August afternoon in 2023, we set up a grill and tables in the parking lot at Cahill Place Apartments and about 50 residents attended, including many children and teens. We all had a great time. It was so refreshing to meet everyone, and with gratitude we wondered where everyone would be if it were not for the River Heights dream.

This was a zoom meeting that attracted 60+ attendees, which included state senators, state representatives, County Commissioners representing Dakota County areas, along with the mayors from West St. Paul, Eagan, Rosemount, and Lakeville.
