New Board Members in 2024
We have two new board members in 2024. Please join us in welcoming:
Joyce McNutt currently works as the stability manager at Community Mediation and Restorative Services. Born and raised in a small city in Indiana where 80% of the people looked like her.
Moving to Minnesota in the early 80's opened her eyes and heart to an awareness that some communities needed a voice. Joyce has been an active "watchman" in her community serving as a leader in getting resources to individuals. She is also a champion for opening up lines of communication through mediation and restorative justice.
Ms. Jewelean Jackson is a long time Elder and Community Servant with the philosophical action of life-long learning, from the cradle to the grave. She is the Lifetime National Ms. Kwanzaa speaking to Kwanzaa as a way of life in her travels.
Ms. Jackson believes that Affordable and Quality housing is a human right; that every American citizen deserves this God given right and one of her goals for serving on MICAH'S Speakers Bureau is to work toward changing stereotypes of homelessness.
