All Sectors Working Together

Those gathered heard several community stories of the challenges in finding adequate housing, how the faith community has a significant role and celebrated first year highlights.

MICAH South leaders are participating in the newly formed Heading Home Dakota Speakers Bureau that will be raising awareness in all sectors of the community on the need to prevent and end homelessness. Heading Home Dakota is under the auspices of the Affordable Housing Coalition of Dakota County with John Kemp, Executive director of Neighbors, Inc. serving as Chair. The Dakota County Board of Commissioners, Community Development Agency Board and the Affordable Housing Coalition adopted the Heading Home Dakota Plan to End Homelessness in April 2012.
